At Steele Maine Coons Cattery, we choose to feed our Maine Coons a carefully balanced raw diet because it closely reflects what cats are naturally designed to eat. Maine Coons are a large, active breed that benefit from high-quality animal protein to support strong muscle development, healthy growth, and overall vitality. We’ve found that raw feeding often helps promote shinier coats, better digestion, steady energy levels, and excellent body condition. Our priority is raising healthy, thriving cats, so we focus on nutrition that supports their long-term wellness while ensuring the diet is safely prepared and properly balanced.

Maine Coons are considered juvenile until they’re around four or five years old so maintaining them on a higher calorie kibble and raw diet is ideal.

I also recommend always adding extra hydration to meals.
